Child Protection The role of the SPHE Support Service is to support schools in the implementation of SPHE. In addition we provide the following service in relation to child protection:

  • I day training courses for all newly appointed Designated and Deputy Designated Liaison Persons. If the DLP and DDLP have previously received training, the school may wish to nominate another person to attend.
  • Information evenings on the new Child Protection Procedures for member of Boards of Management. These evenings are co-delivered with the JMB / IVEA and ACCS.
The above events are organised by PDST Health and Wellbeing Administrative Office in Co. Wexford Education Centre. Schools are notified by letter twice a year.
